How it works

Short version: we do not store anything. Your cards live in your own browser, and Export is how you keep them safe or move them.

Where your cards are kept

Everything you make (cards, settings and the images you add) is saved only in the browser you are using, on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and there are no accounts.
That means we cannot see your cards, and we cannot recover them for you either.
Your cards will be gone if you clear your browsing data or site data, use a private/incognito window, or switch to another browser or device.

Export downloads one file named like daggerheart-cards-2026-09-21.json with every card, your print settings and all the images you added.
Import loads it back. It replaces the cards currently in the maker (it asks first). It does not merge.
The file is plain JSON. Share it with your table so everyone gets the same cards.

The rules text in the library comes from the Daggerheart System Reference Document 2.0, © Critical Role, LLC., used under the Darrington Press Community Gaming License. The wording is meant to be unchanged (tell us if you spot a difference); the format was converted to data, and ancestry and community lore is left out to fit a card.
The card layout, glyphs and colours are our own. No official artwork, logos, card frames or icons are used.
Every card carries the line "Daggerheart™ Compatible. Terms at Daggerheart.com" at the bottom. Keep it there if you share your cards.
If you share or sell what you make, the licence applies to you too. Read it first.

The site is free and provided as is. The official rules are always the authority.
You are responsible for the images and text you add. Only use artwork you have the right to use. We never see or host it.
This is an independent fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Darrington Press or Critical Role. If you are a rights holder with a concern, contact us and we will deal with it promptly.
